The Foundation of a Championship Lawn

If you had to pick one treatment that sets the tone for your entire lawn season, this would be it.

Round 1 of The Natural State Lawn Program isn’t flashy. You won’t see an immediate deep green or explosive growth.

But make no mistake, this is one of the most important applications we perform all year.

What Are We Applying

Advanced Pre-Emergent Weed Control

Just as important as what we are spraying is what we are NOT spraying. Unlike our competitors, we DO NOT mix post-emergent herbicides like Dicamba or 2-4D with our pre-emergent treatments.

This application creates a protective barrier in the soil that prevents weeds from ever breaking the surface. Instead of chasing weeds all season long, we’re cutting them off at the source.

This targets:

  • Crabgrass

  • Goosegrass

  • Spurge

  • Other aggressive spring and summer annual weeds

Once these weeds germinate, control becomes more difficult, more chemical-intensive, and less predictable. Prevention is cleaner, safer, and far more effective.

As always, any existing weeds present during this visit will be addressed using our targeted spot-spray method. While these applications are not organic, this approach dramatically reduces overall chemical usage compared to traditional blanket applications.

Bonus: Moisture Manager Included

Every liquid application we perform includes a moisture manager, and Round 1 is no exception. This plays a bigger role than most people realize.

It helps:

  • Distribute the pre-emergent evenly through the soil profile

  • Improve absorption and activation

  • Prevent “breakthrough” areas where weeds can sneak through

This is one of those small details that separates average results from elite results.

Pre & Post-Treatment Instructions

To get the most out of this treatment:

  • Make sure gates are unlocked

  • Remove any obstacles if possible

  • Keep pets inside during application

  • Avoid disturbing the lawn immediately after treatment

After treatment:

  • Allow at least 1 hour before re-entry

  • Normal watering/rainfall helps activate the product
