Preparing for Summer Stress: Strengthening Your Lawn from the Ground Up

By the time we reach Round 3, your lawn is awake, actively growing, and well-fed from the previous treatment.

We are shifting our focus to plant health and stress prep. Because in Arkansas, it’s not a matter of if summer stress is coming. It’s when.

What Are We Applying?

Round 3 introduces a major upgrade to our program. We are now utilizing a premium granular fertilizer specifically designed to strengthen turf and improve resilience heading into summer.

This isn’t a typical “green-up” fertilizer. It’s a performance-driven application focused on building strength below the surface.

Key components include:

• High Potassium → Improves drought tolerance, stress resistance, and overall plant strength

• Slow-Release Nitrogen → Provides steady, controlled growth without surge or burn

• Iron → Enhances deep green color without excessive growth

This combination helps your lawn stay:

• Healthier under stress

• Greener without excessive top growth

• Stronger at the root level

Why We Made This Change

In 2025, we made a significant investment in soil testing every single client’s lawn. The results were clear. We found a near-universal potassium deficiency across Central Arkansas lawns.

Potassium is one of the most overlooked nutrients in turf care, but it plays a critical role in:

• Water regulation within the plant

• Disease resistance

• Heat and drought tolerance

• Overall plant strength

Without adequate potassium, lawns are far more likely to struggle during the summer months. This change allows us to proactively correct that deficiency, rather than reacting to stress after it shows up.

Spot-Spray Weed Control (Included)

As always, any existing weeds present during this visit will be addressed using our targeted spot-spray method. While these applications are not organic, this approach dramatically reduces overall chemical usage compared to traditional blanket applications.

What to Expect After Round 3

After this application, you’ll notice:

• A deeper, richer green color (thanks to iron)

• Steadier, more controlled growth

• Improved tolerance to heat and dry conditions

This isn’t explosive growth. It’s a controlled, intentional performance.

Pre & Post-Treatment Instructions

To get the most out of this treatment:

• Make sure gates are unlocked

• Remove any obstacles if possible

• Keep pets inside during application

• Avoid mowing immediately before or after treatment

After treatment:

• Allow at least 1 hour before re-entry

• Watering or rainfall will help activate the granular product and move nutrients into the soil
