The Natural State Lawn Program
The Natural State Lawn Program utilizes nine strategic treatments annually to enhance lawn vitality and control weeds. Our approach focuses on two fundamental pillars of fertility.
While each fertility pillar offers standalone benefits, the synergy of combining them is where the true "Magic" lies.
Further distinguishing our unique approach is our commitment to reducing chemical herbicides by as much as 90%. Our meticulous "spot spray only" weed management methods, though more time-consuming and training intensive, deliver the safest and most effective alternative to industry norms.
Firstly, we prioritize long-term soil health by incorporating organics and six forms of micronutrients into 7 of the 10 treatments.
Secondly, we utilize three distinct forms of nitrogen, ensuring both immediate and sustained turf vigor.
-
While post-emergent products aren’t organic, our precise application method reduces herbicide use by over 80% without sacrificing control. Plus, we select only the most advanced, carefully tested herbicides to ensure maximum effectiveness with minimal impact.
-
As a result of lab testing over 1100 lawns in 2025 and learning over 95% of lawns are acidic, we now include Lime to balance pH as part of the program.
3X the Amount of Potassium: The test results also indicated a near universal Potassium deficiency. To further demonstrate our commitment to providing the best science-backed program possible, we've made improvements to our existing program increasing Potassium inputs by 3X in 2026 at NO ADDITIONAL cost.
-
The year starts with a spring/summer pre-emergent weed control application using the most advanced and safest product available.
-
This application provides your lawn with a steady 22-week supply of nitrogen using advanced slow-release fertilizer. Unlike standard coated urea, its release is driven by soil microbial activity, ensuring consistent and predictable nutrient delivery, regardless of rainfall or irrigation.
-
Our $20,000 investment into soil test in 2025 indicated a near universal Potassium deficiency. Therefore we've added this new fertililty prodcut to our program increasing Potassium inputs by 3X.

This is the first of three treatments using our custom liquid bio-stimulant and micronutrient blend. It combines organic carbon sources like kelp, fish meal, humic acids, and worm compost extracts with micronutrients such as magnesium, sulfur, copper, iron, manganese, and zinc. This blend nourishes plants, stabilizes nutrients for better absorption, and enhances plant resilience against common stresses, making future treatments more effective.
-
This second application of our dual-coated controlled-release fertilizer enhances grass growth for 10 weeks while improving soil health. Unlike traditional fertilizers, it replaces fillers with black gypsum, organic humates, calcium, sulfur, potassium, and two nitrogen types. With slow-release nitrogen, zero burn risk, and added nutrients, it’s the most effective granular fertilizer available.
-
This application utilizes the same amazing liquid organic bio-stimulant and trace minerals applied in (Round 4). This treatment builds soil and reduces the stress of summer heat.
-
This final application of our dual-coated controlled-release fertilizer supports optimal grass growth for 10 weeks while improving soil health. Replacing traditional fillers with black gypsum, organic humates, calcium, sulfur, potassium, and two nitrogen types, it delivers slow-release nitrogen, zero burn risk, and added nutrients, making it the most effective granular fertilizer available.
-
As summer ends, this advanced pre-emergent prevents fall and winter weed germination, similar to the February treatment for spring and summer weeds. A micronutrient pack is included to enhance late-season green and prepare the grass for dormancy.
-
The season ends with a final liquid organic bio-stimulant, blending kelp, fish meal, humic acids, and worm compost extracts. This treatment nourishes plants, stabilizes nutrients for better absorption, and prepares the grass for winter stress.
-
During this round, we utilize a calcidic lime product to maintain a healthy pH balance. We added this 10th treatment as a result of data collected during our $20,000 investment into soil testing more than 1,100 lawns in 2025, which indicated that more than 95% of lawns in Central Arkansas are acidic.
Even with superior products and an organic-first approach, natural processes continually push soil toward acidity. Our solution is to add an annual “maintenance rate” of lime, preventing acidity from returning due to factors like acid rain, leaching, and nutrient mineralization.
Round 10 not only balances and maintains soil pH, but also extends the treatment season—allowing for an extra round of weed control and continued monitoring for disease and pests.
